Abrazo Consumer Privacy Policy

The Abrazo app is the dancer-facing mobile service from Abrazo Software LLC. It brings together discovery, bookings, attendance, Community access, authorized media, preferences, and support. The shared sign-in identity is also covered by the Abrazo Account Privacy Policy.

• Account and profile data: your name, email, account identifier, public dancer profile, home city, dance preferences, and the profile details you choose to add.
• Discovery and activity: searches and filters, favorites, public records you open, and the classes, private lessons, workshops, festivals, and Community work shown in Today or Bookings.
• Booking and purchase records: requests, messages, schedule and venue details, attendance, prices, payment and refund status, memberships, receipts, and agreements. Card details are collected by the payment provider, not by the app.
• Community and member activity: membership and access state, announcements, schedules, roster visibility, Practice interactions, feedback, reports, blocks, and authorized media playback.
• Raz requests: the question you choose to send, recent conversation context, relevant public discovery context, and a bounded response excerpt when you report an answer.
• Device, notification, and security data: secure session data, an installation identifier, optional push token, app and operating-system details, IP address, request logs, and diagnostic information.
• Analytics: allowlisted app interactions after you enable usage analytics, plus bounded service events needed to operate bookings, access, security, and moderation.

The app asks for permission before the first Raz request. Your question and relevant public Abrazo context are sent to Anthropic so Raz can answer. Search text may be sent to OpenAI to create search embeddings. The current Consumer release accepts text questions and does not request microphone access. You can decline and keep using discovery without Raz.

We use this data to authenticate you, show account-owned records, provide discovery and booking tools, enforce Community and media access, deliver requested notifications, prevent abuse, investigate errors, improve the service when analytics is enabled, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or use Consumer app data for third-party advertising.

Where applicable, we process data to provide the service you request, for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, moderation, and reliable operations, with consent for optional analytics and Raz processing, and to meet legal obligations. Organizations and Community operators may separately control records for their classes, events, rosters, and member programs.

Artists, Studios, Community operators, event organizers, and other members receive only the information needed for the booking, attendance, roster, feedback, or Community interaction they own. We also use service providers for hosting and databases, authentication, email, payments, media delivery, maps, push notifications, diagnostics, analytics, and Raz. Current providers include Fly.io, Neon, Vercel, Stripe, Cloudflare, Mux, Google Maps, Expo, Apple Push Notification service, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, Sentry, PostHog, Anthropic, and OpenAI. These providers receive only the data needed to perform their work under contract or their published data terms. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect people and the service.

Usage analytics starts off and can be changed in Settings. Notifications and Raz are optional. You can report or block Community content, manage sign-in security, and schedule account deletion from the app. The current release requests no camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or broad photo-library access. Maps use public record coordinates and do not request your device location. The account deletion page remains available if you cannot sign in.

We use encrypted network connections, secure token storage, account-scoped authorization, short-lived media access, audit records, and operational monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Abrazo Software LLC is based in the United States, so data may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism such as Standard Contractual Clauses or a provider's current certification under an applicable data privacy framework.

Retention depends on the record and who controls it. We keep data while needed to provide the service and for security, dispute, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Account deletion covers the shared identity and opens cleanup for linked profile, notification, provider, and analytics records. Some organization, Community, transaction, moderation, or legal records may remain with identifying details removed or limited where possible. Expired Community media credentials stop playback, and the current app keeps protected media descriptors in memory instead of storing them as a permanent local library.

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal data. Email privacy@abrazo.dev. We may verify your identity and may direct organization-controlled record requests to the organization that owns them. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

The app is not directed to children below the minimum age required to create an account in their location. We may update this policy as the app or law changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
